Fayston Elementary School utilizes the Responsive approach to teaching and discipline. Please watch the video to understand a little more about the approach. Fayston uses a variety of techniques to meet the complex literacy standards of our students. We utilize Fundations as a phonics program. For writing our teachers use Lucy Calkins Units of Study. Our highly skilled teachers use the Common Core Standards to create a unique and robust literacy curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
