Justina Boyden

Principal

I am honored to serve as the principal of Fayston School. I am dedicated to fostering a nurturing and dynamic learning environment for all students. With 28 years in education, including experience as a classroom teacher and an academic interventionist, I believe in the power of relationships, collaboration, and continuous growth to support students and staff.

I am a passionate advocate for social-emotional learning. I am an Educational Consultant with the Center for Responsive Schools and Responsive Classroom. I work to ensure that every child feels seen, valued, and challenged in their learning journey. My leadership is grounded in the belief that strong partnerships between families, educators, and the community create the best opportunities for student success.

I grew up in the beautiful Mad River Valley and attended Fayston School before continuing on to Harwood Union High School. My passion for education led me to the University of Vermont, where I earned an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Special Education. Returning to Fayston School as an educator has been a full-circle journey—one rooted in a deep commitment to giving back to the community that shaped me.

Beyond the school walls, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking, and cheering on girls' soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse!  I live in Fayston with my husband, Eric.  Our oldest daughter, Sarah, is pursuing a career in Pediatric Physical Therapy, and our youngest daughter, Lindsey, will be majoring in Psychology at Boston University.

I invite families to join in the shared mission of inspiring a love for learning in every child.
